PP8300 Statistics Class

This is a 7 weeks spring semester course running from March to May. This course is designed for graduate students of Plant Pathology or related major such as such Horticulture and Crop Science, Entomology, Veterinary Medicine, and Food Science and Technology.  We will first introduce the use of Statistics Software “R” and “RStudio” for statistics analysis. We will focus in basics statistics used in analyzing laboratory and field research data.  We will discuss how to organize, and clean data, test for normality of the data. We will then approach several topics in analyzing data ranging from T-Test, ANOVA, correlation, and regression.  Throughout the course, students will be exposed to data preparation and cleaning, programming, and interpreting statistical results.
